A complete shower toilet replaces the WC. Choose this route when planning a new bathroom or replacing the pan and you want a coordinated ceramic and flush design. Three checks before you choose
- Fit: For an enhancement seat, measure and confirm that the existing ceramic is compatible. For a complete WC, check the wall or floor outlet, frame or cistern, clearances and service access.
- Water and electricity: AquaClean needs a suitable water supply and electrical provision. Ask qualified installers to plan the connection for your chosen model, particularly in an existing bathroom.
- Care: Allow for routine cleaning and periodic descaling. Geberit says descaling frequency depends on water hardness and use; models with odour extraction may also need a filter change. Follow the instructions for your exact model.

Does a shower toilet replace toilet paper completely?
It can reduce use considerably, but your habits and the model’s drying function make the difference. Many people still use some paper for drying. Avoid treating an estimated paper saving as a guarantee for your household.
Is the water cold?
AquaClean models provide temperature control according to their specification. The 4000 enhancement seat includes adjustable shower water temperature; check the controls and features of the exact version you choose.
Can I upgrade without replacing my WC?
Possibly. The AquaClean 4000 and Tuma enhancement solutions are designed for this route, subject to ceramic compatibility and suitable water and electrical connections. Geberit provides a compatibility tool for the 4000.
Is it a water-saving purchase?
The wash uses additional water but can reduce paper use. Geberit cites approximately 0.5–1 litre per shower procedure depending on model. Household use and the wider environmental impact vary, so we would not promise a fixed saving.
